I am a qualified and insured freelance conservator of historic objects with a BA (1:1) and MA (Merit) from the University of Lincoln, with four years postgraduate experience. I'm based mostly in Lincoln and the East Midlands area, with a strong working relationship with Banks Newton Heritage and Bishop Grosstesste Archaeology Unit. I am currently employed as a Lab Technician within the Aerospace industry, which has given me a greater understanding of scientific principles and increased my technical skills. I maintain my self-employed work around my full time position.

I have varied experience on a wide selection of object types from natural history to archaeology - allowing me to learn and demonstrate specific and transferable skills in my treatments. I've worked in a variety of environments including education sessions and on-site work, gaining confidence in a number of settings. Linked to conservation, I have a strong interest in object based learning and its impact on learners, conservators and the objects.

This portfolio aims to showcase my skills as a conservator. Please feel free to contact me at
